DALLAS HOLOCAUST AND HUMAN RIGHTS MUSEUM GARAGE

Dallas, Texas

Designed by Scott Hall while Principal and Director of Design at Omniplan

2022 Dallas AIA Built Award

The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum Garage is located across the street from the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum in the historic West End District of Dallas, Texas.  The precast concrete and masonry structure is designed to accommodate 300 parking spaces, 100 for Museum visitors and staff and 200 for contract parking.  Satisfying the requirements of the Dallas Landmark Commission and adhering to a strict Historic architectural criteria, the scale, fenestration and materiality of the street façade recalls the 1900’s warehouse character of the historic district while compositionally complimenting the modern Museum building design which it serves.  A memorial sculpture garden is located on the site providing flexible use space for memorial gatherings, public events and community leisure.
