CROSS CHURCH

HASLETT, TEXAS

Designed by Scott Hall, AIA while Principal and Director of Design at Omniplan

The first satellite campus for North Richland Hills Baptist Church, the site is located with frontage along a major freeway in a growing suburban community. Envisioned as a “third-place” environment providing a 7 day a week campus. The 15,000 SF Phase 1 includes a 300-seat worship/multi-pur- pose room and a children’s ministry area with six classrooms and an indoor play area. A community lobby includes an information center, an encourager’s room, two administrative offices and support spaces with adjacency to a landscaped community activity lawn. The site includes surface parking, outdoor community lawn and a playground. Built with a modest budget, the tilt-wall shell incoproip- rates metal, storefront glass, stucco and a native Texas limestone accent.

The masterplan anticipates converting this building into a Children’s Education Building when future phases, including a 1,200 seat worship room, Adult and Youth Education Buildings, Gymnasium, Outdoor multi-purpose lawn and site pad areas for complimentary commercial development such as office and retail, are added.
